QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Will this power a TP-Link EAP245 Wireless Access Point? https://www.tp-link.com/no/products/details/cat-5692_EAP245.html#overview

The TP-Link EAP245 requires IEEE802.3at PoE. This kit will not be enough POE voltage for your device and is a Passive injector. I recommend you look at our Active injector WT-AT-8-48V60W which meets the IEEE 802.3at PoE requirements.

  • Could I pair this with (8) WS-POE-USB to power arlo pro2 cameras?

Yes, this would work to provide power to Arlo Pro2 cameras. Since this POE-USB kit includes a 1.35-female USB adapter, you would need to use a USB (male) - microUSB to connect to the camera.

  • Will this power a Dahua SD50430U-HNI or do I need an active injector?

This product will not power your device. The datasheet for the Dahua SD50430U-HNI specifies the device as PoE+/802.3at compliant and requires 23 watts of power. We have found that most devices that follow the IEEE 802.3at standard, require active negotiation. In addition, you will need a DC power supply that is between 44-57 volts. I would suggest purchasing the WT-AT-8-56v120w for autonegotiation, and enough power to support up to 5 devices operating at max power consumption of 23watts.
